This policy explains what the app collects, why, and who it is shared with. The app is operated by Van Lang Technologies Company Limited, Long Bien, Hanoi, Vietnam ("we"). Contact: [email protected].
You can use the app without an account. Your saved words, playlists and study progress are stored only on your device and are never sent to us.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive from that provider a unique account identifier, your email address (Apple may give us a private relay address instead), and your first name. We store your display name — your first name by default, which you can change — and the leaderboard points (XP) you earn from listening to songs, saving words and reviewing words. Your display name and points are shown publicly on the leaderboard. Your email is never shown to other users.
Commenting requires signing in. We store your comment together with your account's display name and account id (so readers can block a commenter and so reports are counted once). Comments are public, and so is the display name shown on them. Comments posted before sign-in was required carry the name the writer typed and a random identifier generated on their device instead.
If you request a song, we store the song name and link and any name, phone number and note you choose to enter, so we can add the song and contact you about it.
If you allow notifications, we store your device's push token, platform and app language to send you new-song and study reminders.
When you open a song we record which song was played (not who played it) to build the trending list. If the app crashes, a crash report with device and app information is sent to our error-monitoring provider.
Words you look up, lyrics you ask about, and messages to the AI tutor are sent to our server and to the dictionary and AI providers listed below to produce an answer.
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising identifier and usage information to show and measure ads. On iOS we ask your permission before any tracking; you can choose non-personalized ads through the consent message shown at first launch.
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive your payment details; on Android we check the purchase token with Google to confirm the purchase is valid.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law.
Account data and points are kept until you delete your account. Comments and song requests are kept until you ask us to remove them or we remove them. Push tokens are removed when they stop working.
Delete your account in the app: tap 🏆 on the home screen, then Delete account. This permanently removes your account and all your points. You can also email [email protected] from the address you signed in with to request deletion of your account or any other data, including comments and song requests. Details: account deletion.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable measures to protect your information.
